The Founding Constitution
Ten promises we keep
to every family.
Adopted on the day PiggyTRK began. Binding on every contract, every line of code, and every person who ever works here.
On Children
Children are citizens of their own lives. PiggyTRK shall treat every child not as a customer, not as a user, and not as a future earner - but as a small person of consequence, owed dignity and design from the first screen.
We shall design as though the child is in the room with us. Because they are.
On Money
Money is a language for trust between people. PiggyTRK shall teach this language with the same care a violin teacher gives a child's first scales - slowly, lovingly, with permission to make mistakes that will not break anything.
Earning, saving, investing, borrowing, and taxes are five movements of one symphony. We shall not teach one without the others.
On Family
Every family is the family for whom PiggyTRK was made. The two-parent home, the single parent, the multigenerational household, the chosen family, the foster family - all of them are the default.
We shall never write copy that assumes any one shape. We shall never charge more for variety. We shall never ask a kid to verify which adult counts.
On Privacy
A child's data is sacred. We shall collect the minimum amount necessary for the system to work, and not one byte more. We shall never sell it, license it, share it for marketing, or use it to train models that benefit anyone outside this household.
If a parent asks us to delete it, we shall delete it within seven days, irrevocably, and tell them when it is done.
On Honesty
We shall not lie to a child. We shall not lie to a parent. We shall not invent metrics, hide fees, soften apologies, or use the passive voice to obscure who did what.
If we make a mistake, we shall name it, fix it, and write it down where everyone can see.
On Dark Patterns
We shall not engineer urgency, shame, FOMO, or comparison into any surface a child sees. Streaks shall not punish; counts shall not compare; defaults shall not extract.
If a feature would not be ethical to use on a child, it shall not be built - and not just shall not be marketed.
On Acquisition
If PiggyTRK is ever acquired, the acquiring entity shall reaffirm this Constitution, in writing, within thirty days of the closing.
If the reaffirmation does not happen, the entire codebase, design system, and curriculum shall be open-sourced under a permissive license before the deal closes. This clause is binding on every contract this company will ever sign.
On Profit
We shall earn our living. We shall not earn it by exploiting the trust of the families we serve.
Pricing shall be plain. The trial shall be honest. A family in hardship shall never be charged.
On Excellence
We shall ship work we are proud to put our names on. Mediocre work, shipped fast, dishonors the time families spend with us.
Excellence is the floor, not the ceiling.
On the Long View
We are building for the kid who is eight today and forty in the year 2058. We shall make decisions our future selves can defend at that kitchen table.
PiggyTRK belongs to the children who will use it. We are merely its first stewards.
Signed and sealed by the founders, on the day this began.
